We’re all going on a summer holiday…

THE PLAZA Baix in Javea Old Town will play host to The Javea Players Summer Dinner & Show each evening between Monday June 26 and Saturday July 1.

The annual sell-out event is set to be even better this year, offering an upgraded menu and accompanying wine list.

Dinner will be served at Bar Imperial each evening at 7.00pm. Guests can enjoy delicious fresh salads along with an exciting assortment of tapas and half a bottle of wine each. Be sure to save room for dessert!

After dinner at around 9.00pm, guests will travel a few short steps across to the Casa de Cultura, where the Players will perform their ‘Arrivals and Departures’ production, directed by Mike Harvey.

The comedy production – sure to have the audience belly-laughing – consists of two short plays set in the 1980s, with a cast of confused customers in both the ‘Arrivals’ and ‘Departures’ areas of Gatwick Airport…

Single parent Rosemary and her daughter, Mandy are really looking forward to the holiday they have worked hard for in their jobs at the Co-op… but not so much Dennis, who is only going on holiday to please his wife, Shelia and can’t imagine any non-Brit getting anything remotely right so is steeling himself to suffer – which he certainly won’t do silently.

Rosemary accepts that her daughter needs a bit of TLC and she doesn’t stint in providing it. Rosemary’s problem being that she firmly believes everyone needs and deserves her TLC, especially, it transpires, Dennis… Rosemary puts his rudeness and bad temper down to a fear of flying and her efforts to reassure him drive him comically round the twist!

Tickets are priced €17.50 and include dinner, drinks and the show.
