Woman cut from car in Torrevieja

FIREFIGHTERS IN Torrevieja had to cut a 56-year-old Russian woman out of her car on Wednesday following an accident on Avenida de Diego Ramirez.

The accident occurred at around 11.35am when a hire car, driven by a British driver, collided laterally with the woman’s vehicle.

The impact of the collision drove the woman’s driver-side door nearly 20 centimetres into her car – boxing her in.

Firefighters had to use special equipment and cut the frame of the car.

The woman did not suffer any serious injuries.
