Beach brigade introduced in Teulada-Moraira

TEULADA-MORAIRA Mayor Carlos Linares and the Councilor of Public Safety Nacim Benatsou presented the ‘Beach Unit’ together with the Policia Local earlier this week – a support office of the Policia Local located in the Espai La Senieta.

The new unit, made up of five officers, will be responsible exclusively for the surveillance of the municipality’s beaches.

Officers will patrol by bicycle to ensure the safety of bathers, fight street vending on the promenades and support rescue operations.

The officers will also be readily available to provide tourists with information.

They will cover a schedule to ensure police presence is continuous from the arrival of the first beachgoers in the morning until 10.30pm
