Collision leaves two trapped inside van with serious injuries

A VAN and a car collided last Saturday on the Poritxol road in Javea.

The collision, which occurred at around 5.00pm, left two gardeners in their 50s trapped inside the van.

The gardeners – who suffered serious injuries and had to be freed by firefighters – had just finished work for the day and were on their way home.

The four-young people travelling inside the car were able to remove themselves from it – suffering minor injuries.

They are thought to have spent the day at one of the beaches and were, too, on their way home.

The road was completely blocked off whilst the emergency services attended to the injured and the vehicles were removed.
