CBWB get grateful

AS THEY met for the final time before the summer break, the Costa Blanca Wellbeing Group (CBWB) held at ‘Gratitude Session’ at Quo Vadis in Javea.

The session was well supported with Patricia Piper encouraging everyone to think about the things in life they are grateful for and participants creating their own Wellbeing ‘Gratitude Tree’ .

Debbie Freeman, founder of CBWB thanked Elaine Belles Humble for the use of Quo Vadis as the group’s Javea venue.

She also thanked the hosts and members for their support throughout the year and expressed how fantastic it has been to see the group grow.

There are exciting plans for the coming year with new venues, speakers and topics.

The gratitude session was followed by a tasty traditional Valencian paella prepared and caringly cooked by Guillermo Rocher, with most going back for seconds!

Helen Davis expressed her greatest thanks to everyone who supported the Wijesinghe Girls Orphanage Project in Sri Lanka, updating everyone on the progress and wellbeing of the girls.

The CBWB has raised €595 to date and the girls have benefited from new mosquito nets, food, shoes and craft classes.

Helen said:

‘I am so grateful for what we have been able to provide for the girls. There is still lots to do with the renovation of a classroom, learning stations to buy and training for those due to leave the orphanage…. teaching them a skill means they have the possibility of establishing a future for themselves. It is life changing.’

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY –The Wellbeing Festival will be held on Sunday September 10, 11.00am – 5.00pm at Quo Vadis in Javea.
