€80,000 new wardrobe

BENIDORM CITY Council has budgeted €80,000 to provide its local police officers with new uniforms and protective accessories.

The contract was approved by local government and thebid published earlier this week in the Official Gazette of the Province.

Tenders are invited up to the value of €66,116, plus VAT for the two-year contract.

51,000 has been budgeted for clothing, 11,000 for footwear and the remaining 4,116 for protective accessories.

The closing date for tenders is in two weeks’ time and companies will be required to supply sample of the items in order for the City Council to verify that their quality meets the requirements.
