Bettas Torrevieja’s rugby squad swells

0

NEW PLAYERS joined the regular squad members at last week’s Bettas Torrevieja RFC training session, swelling the ranks of the team and proving the word is getting out there.

The management are looking at getting enough players on board to put a team out ready to play friendlies from September as numbers are slowly increasing.

Organisers are looking to create a more international team with players of all nationalities, so they have issued a statement asking anyone interested in having some fun and playing rugby to get in touch.

Many of the current players had never played the game before, so experienced or not all are welcome to join in at the next training session.

The ladies are usually training every Wednesday and Sunday at 8.30pm on the athletics pitch at the sports ground just around the corner from the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Torrevieja.
