VELEZ MALAGA will be hosting its own guitar legends at the XXVI International Guitar Festival tomorrow night.

The event, which takes place at the Marques de Beniel Palace and the Teatro del Carmen, will include concerts by Ciro Carbone, Hermanos Cuenca, Christian Lavernier and Jose Luis Lastres Escalona.

The town’s Councillor for Culture, Cynthia Garcia, commented “we are once again hosting this festival, which is a cultural benchmark, which gets better every time, and where we can enjoy artists not only from different parts of Spain but also from other countries including France and Italy.”

The director of the International Guitar Festival, Javier Garcia, explained guitar fans will enjoy “a series of master classes,” which “will be taught by these teachers during the mornings.”

Today, Ciro Carbone will perform with Pedro Navarro at the same venue, while on Saturday the closing ceremony will take place in the Teatro del Carmen with a performance by the Provincial Symphonic Orchestra of Malaga. Tickets can be bought at the culture area of the Beniel Palace.
