Worker injured after being trapped in lift

A MAINTENANCE worker has been taken to hospital in Malaga after becoming trapped and injured in a lift in Rincon de la Victoria.

The man, who was fixing the machine on Avenida Mediterraneo when his legs became stuck in the mechanism, called for help at around 11.20am.  Firefighters from the Provincial Consortium rushed to help him, alongside members of the Guardia Civil, Local Police and Public Enterprise for Health Emergencies (EPES), and successfully freed the man.

The incident has now been reported to the Centre for the Prevention of Occupational Risks and Labour Inspectorate.
