18 members of Javea U3A’s Curry Club enjoyed the double delights of the hot weather and their passion for spicy cuisine as they gathered on the terrace of the Buddha Palace restaurant for their annual summer party recently.

Diners enjoyed the restaurant’s special three-course menu, washed down with a beverage or two.

The party was organised by group leaders James and Dodie Hodgkinson and was a break from the usual routine, whereby members will take in turns to host dinner parties at their homes with guests creating curry-based dishes to set a region or theme.
