Cartagena cruise port continues to grow

CARTAGENA’S popularity as a cruise port continues to grow.

During the first six months of the year, it has added 50% more cruise tourists than last year. In fact, the 2016 figure of 64,000 passengers arriving between January and July has increased to 91,000 this season already.  The numbers were announced by Antonio Sevilla, the president of the Port Authority of Cartagena.

Such is the continued growth of cruise liners using Cartagena as a port that overall numbers are expected to show more than 50,000 extra passengers than originally forecast for 2017 as a whole.
