Cyclist smashes Tour of Utah

MARINA Alta cyclist Antonio Molina, finished The Tour of Utah in 14th place last Saturday.

The Tour of Utah is an annual multiday road cycling race; traversing the U.S. states of Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming.

Molina, from Javea finished 14th overall but was the first Spaniard to cross the finish line.

Due to its altitude, distance and weather conditions, the tour is nicknamed ‘America’s Toughest Stage Race’.

In 2010, only 71 of the initial 140 riders finished. In 2011, a stronger field participated, with 88 of the initial 120 competitors finishing.
