FAST
The new recruits

FAST – First Aid Support Team – are a group of volunteers from Camposol near to Mazarron.  They respond to medical emergencies on Camposol for residents and visitors alike.

For the last few months FAST have not been able to provide the 24 hour cover that they had in the past, and because of this they are training seven new recruits at the moment led by President Barry (Baz) Hamilton, and extra people are always needed.

All that’s needed is to be able to spare a few hours to help the good people of Camposol.  It’s a very rewarding thing to do and at the same time get to meet some great people who meet up regularly for training and social events.  No previous first aid experience is required as full training is given.

People come from all backgrounds such as ex-military, police, teachers, engineers and social workers.  By attracting more new volunteers, than plan is to return to the 24/7 cover once again a.s.a.p.

FAST are presently looking to replace their Nº2 vehicle as it’s now 10 years old, so they’ll be spending much of the money that has been donated by businesses, residents and visitor to Camposol.

If you require medical emergency assistance on Camposol, you should first call 112 and ask for someone who can speak your language, and then explain the problem to them. Then call FAST on 968 970 626, giving your name address and a brief description of the emergency.

If you would like to find out more about being involved with FAST, please email on; recruitment@fast2016.org or secretary@fast2016.org
