Free ‘health MOT’ for cyclists

REHABILITACION Marina Alta (REMA) recently signed collaboration agreements with two local cycling clubs – Club Ciclista Sarria and Club Ciclista Bernia-Xalo.

The collaboration agreements allow all members of the respective clubs a free ‘health MOT’ at the REMA clinic in Denia.

The health MOTs will consist of an electrocardiogram – a record or display of a person’s heartbeat produced by electrocardiography, a Doppler echocardiography test – a procedure that uses ultrasound technology to examine the heart or blood vessels and a VO2 Max test – to measure the body’s maximal consumption of oxygen and the efficiency of one’s muscles.

The health MOTs will be carried out by specialist cardiologists.
