Keep ‘em clean in Orihuela

ORIHUELA council is the latest along the Costa Blanca to take the subject of rubbish and litter more seriously.

They have begun a campaign with a strapline of: “Orihuela is part of you, don’t turn your back on it,” hoping to show how the day-to-day habits of the people affect how clean the area is and remains so.

Leaflets are being distributed right across the municipality containing information on subjects such as when it’s legal to put rubbish out by the bins and when larger items such as garden cuttings and old furniture can be collected.
