CAUGHT RED HANDED: It did not take officers long to locate the thief Photo credit Pixabay

NATIONAL POLICE in Benidorm arrested a 43-year-old man who broke into his neighbour’s apartment and stole €480 in cash.

The thief stole two wallets and as he went to leave the house, was caught red-handed by his victim, who – with a struggle – managed to recover one of the wallets.

The man made off with the other wallet, which happened to be the one containing the cash.

The victim called the police and explained that the thief lived in the same apartment block.

After a series of investigations, officers located the man and arrested him. They were able to recover some but not all of the cash he had stolen.

The thief will be charged for stealing with violence.
