TEULADA-MORAIRA’S ‘2018 Queens of Fiestas’ were elected last Saturday at a gala in the Sise Centenari attended by many residents and visitors alike.
The gala, organised by the Comision de Fiestas 2017, saw Maria Bisquert elected as the fiesta queen and Paula Llobell elected as the children’s queen – both will lead the municipal Sant Vicent Ferrer festivities next year.
This year’s children’s queen Leyre Lanaquera took to the stage first to elect 2018’s children’s queen and was accompanied by Saul Such and her maids of honour Carolina Estivalis with Elias Ivars and Flavia Bocica with Jose Andres Ortola.
Paula Llobell’s name was pulled from the hat and it was confirmed she will be accompanied by Diego Gazquez and joined by maids of honour Sofía Barrera with Jordi Ibanez and Clara Ortola with Xavi Marrques.
Maria Bisquert’s was then elected as fiesta queen and it was confirmed she will be accompanied by Marc Dengra.
The crowd exploded into a standing ovation and the election was followed by speeches from the President of the Comision de Fiestas – Isabel Buigues, Councillor of Fiestas – Rosana Caselles and Teulada-Moraira Mayor – Carlos Linares.
