MIJAS has hosted a weekend of video games in the return of the LAN Party and IV Salon del Manga, anime and Videogames of Mijas.

Jose Antonio Gonzalez,Councillor for New Technologies, had invited all residents local to Mijas and from other towns and cities to get involved in the event, which was organised by cultural association, MIBU. the residents of other towns and cities to participate in the weekend dedicated to video games.

Councillor Gonzalez commented before the event, “the council is inviting everyone to get involved in both events, which are sure to be great fun.”  He added,”this event sees the return to the LAN party, a reference point in the area of video games which fans really enjoy and have been asking for since we came into power in the council.”

Last Friday from 5 pm the Cortijo Don Elias was full of video game enthusiasts waiting to register to the event, which began at noon the following day.  The festival included a camping area at the Tamixa CEIP and a “computer zone set up for tournaments, as well as an area for participants so they can cheer on their team mates.”
