Minimum number of pre-test driving lessons proposed in Spain

Minimum pre-test driving lessons proposed
Minimum number of lessons and Theory tests may be introduced.

ACCORDING to Spain’s General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), a minimum number of driving lessons may be introduced as a legal requirement before candidates can take a test. This would include the theory test as well as the practical, meaning it would no longer be solely down to the student whether they felt they were adequately prepared to take the tests.

The idea is to partly prevent a selection of inexperienced drivers who are supremely confident that they can have a good day and pass the tests, but in truth aren’t ready to face the realities of day-to-day driving.

The exact minimum number of lessons which will apply has not yet been decided.
