Miramar shopping centre to extend it´s opening hours.

SEVEN CITY car parks are offering discounts of 50 per cent on Saturday during Fuengirola’s Live Night.

Parking in the Avenida, Alfil, Las Rampas, Plaza de la Constitución, Plaza de España and at the port will be reduced by half for the event.  In addition, the Merca centro carpark will be open from 6pm to 4am and the Miramar Shopping Center will extend its schedule until 3am.

In recent years the town’s Noche Viva has become a famous attraction, filling the streets with revellers enjoying a wide programme of council and privately organised activities, mostly outdoors.

The event will see a total of 287 businesses- 80 more than last year-open their doors across the town from 8pm to 3am, offering discounts and promotions.  All businesses signed up to the scheme must offer a minimum 10 per cent discount on top of any normal promotions, while hotel will offer special dishes and promotions.

The scheme is the result of months of work and meetings and the council has payed thanks to Cepyme, Fuenmi and the Association of Beach Businesses, as well as the councillors involved andall municipal workers who have played their part.

More than 30 points around the town will be filled with activities, of which nine will be municipal spaces. More than 300 different activities will take place on the strip between Santa Amalia to Los Boliches, passing through the Boquetillo.

Among the novelties this year, 77 stalls from the Sunday market will be positioned in thirteen different areas around the town according to a lottery. In addition, the Plaza de la Constitucion will host a traditional parade, one of the biggest activities, in which 22 floats will participate. This year there will also be a dog show and body paint.
