TEULADA-MORAIRA Town Hall has collaborated with the Association Dolcainers i Tabaleters (traditional music instruments) to put on the Divina Pastora festivities this weekend.

Starting Friday 22nd September from 8.00pm around the Divina Pastora church, a ’festivity tree’ will be planted and later in the evening the Plaza de la Iglesia and carrer de Dalt will play host to dancing lessons and a raffle.

Saturday´s programme starts on Calle de Muret at 4.30pm with a ‘pilotavalenciana’ match, organised by the Club de Pilota Teulada.

The church will open at 7:45pm for the Angelus prayer and later in the evening an open-air public dinner will be served, offering a bar and open-air entertainment.

Sunday’s programme starts with the children’s wake-up call at 10.30am followed by traditional games.

At 1.00pm, everyone is invited to Cooperativa San Vicent for vermouth.

The parade ‘PaBeneit’ (blessed bread) will take place from 6:30pm, starting at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, with holy mass at 7.00pm in honour of the Divina Pastora of Teulada.

Traditional dances will follow on carrer de Dalt with plenty of Mistela, before the fiesta ends in true Spanish style with a ‘traca’, (firecrackers on a string)show.

Teulada-Moraira Mayor Carlos Linares invites residents and neighbours to join in the festivities and enjoy the programme that the Association Dolcainers i Tabaleters has put together.
