A busy month for the U3A Calpe Choir

The U3A Calpe Choir will host a concert at the Casa de Cultura to raise funds for the needy at the Centro Civico de la TerceraEdad on Friday September 29.

The choir has been working hard behind the scenes and members are looking forward to singing a variety of songs from famous films – both old and new.

Tickets cost €6 and can be purchased from any member of the choir or by calling 965 874 776.

Doors open at 7.00pm for the concert to start at 7.30pm.

The choir will also take part in a ‘Songs of Praise’ production at the Parroquia Nuestra Senora De La Merced church next Tuesday September 12 from 6.00pm and sing again at the association’s first meeting of the season.

U3A Calpe has been in operation for over 15 years.

With over 500 members, the association boasts over twenty specialist groups, with several card playing groups, Petanque, various arts and crafts groups, sports groups, walking groups and even a fishing group.

Meeting are held at the SH Ifach hotel at 10.00am for 10.30am on the third Thursday of every month.

The next meeting (the first meeting of the season) is Thursday September 21.
