A YOUNG British dad is fighting for his life after being found with horrific injuries while on his stag do in Magaluf.

26-year-old fire fighter Alex Green, from Goldborne in Merseyside, travelled to Majorca with a group of 25 family members and friends last Friday.

Just hours later, he was discovered in the resort with severe injuries.

The rest of his group became concerned when Alex failed to return from the toilets of the bar that they were in.

They began frantically searching for him, before receiving a phone call from someone who had found him unconscious in the street.

It is unclear how Alex suffered his injuries.

The British Embassy is in contact with his family.

The dad-of-one was rushed to hospital where he was found to have suffered a bleed on the brain, fractures to his eye sockets, cheeks and nose and a collapsed lung.

Alex was placed in an induced coma and has undergone surgery.

He remains in intensive care in Majorca, with his family and his fiancée who flew out to the island to be with him.

Alex needs around €60,000 to fly him home in a specialist air ambulance and medical care in the Spanish hospital can cost up to €6,000 each day.

Early indications are that his travel insurance will not pay out because he had alcohol in his system, making any claim potentially void.

Now Alex’s friends have set up a Just Giving page to cover the cost of his care – more than €30,000 has been donated so far
