NEXT weekend, Club Rugby La Vila return to the field in their first match of the season in the Division de Honor division, having spent four consecutive seasons in the grupo Levante silver division.
The Division de Honor division is the highest category of Spanish rugby and Club Rugby La Vila coach Hernan Quirelli “Falu” says it “won’t be easy” for the team but they will “work hard to achieve success”.
He says the team is “armed” after a successful pre-season, the players having followed individual preparation plans and put through their paces by trainer Gonzalo Fernandez.
The coach discusses additions and losses to the team: “We need to strengthen the team, not only in quality but in quantity as we have been holding a very tight workforce”.
The club will play SilverStorm El Salvador next Sunday at the Campo del Pantano – El Salvador, from Valladolid in central Spain, El Salvador is one of the most accomplished Spanish rugby clubs having won Division de Honor seven times, Copa del Rey six times and Supercopa de Espana five times.
Coach “Falu” says Club Rugby La Vila will “fight with confidence, with desire and above all, with great enthusiasm”.
