Keeping young people off the streets

MAYORS of the Marina Alta from Calpe, Javea, Pego and Teulada-Moraira presented the ‘Xarxa Jove Comarcal’ programme this week, designed to keep young people off the streets.

The programme offers an array of activities from now through to next year.

First up is a trip to Port Aventura from October 6 – October 9 for €215. The price includes transport, half-board accommodation, tickets to the park and insurance.

A Generalitat Jove -IVAJ accredited training course is offered to anyone interested in becoming a recreational coach. Classes will run every Saturday from October 28 – March 10, 2018 and the courses costs only €160.

An event will be held in Moraira on November 4 with music workshops from 10.30am – 2.00pm offering an insight into DJ´ing, Pod Casting, composing and drumming.

A talent contest for pop/ rock bands will follow from 4.30pm.

For the talent contest, all band members must be younger than 30 years of age and at least half of the band must be registered in a municipality on the Marina Alta.
