More interest in mortgages

FIGURES just released by the Spanish National Statistics Institute (INE) show mortgages on the increase in the Murcia region.

During the month of June 2017, mortgages arranged rose 21.2 per cent compared to the same period last year.  This accounts for a total of 725 mortgages being taken out; the national average increase is 16.5 per cent.

Among the Autonomous Communities, Murcia registered the fifth largest increase with Asturias (67.2 per cent), La Rioja (66 per cent), the Canary Islands (59.8 per cent) and Madrid (37 per cent) ahead of them.

The amount of actual capital loaned in Murcia rose by 24.4 per cent year-on-year to a total of €54.8m
