Prosecutors demand 12 years over stabbing

A MAN in Malaga faces a jury trial for stabbing his roommate to death.

The alleged killer could face 12 years in prison after knifing his victim in the stomach up to six times following an argument in 2014.  The man underwent surgery in hospital but died of complications from his injuries fur and a half months later.

Prosecutors are now seeking a jail sentence as well as €100,000 in compensation to each of the victim’s children.

The deceased died on November 9 in 2014 from multiorgan failure brought on by the stabbing and exacerbated by his poor health, according to prosecutors.  They now accuse his alleged killer of murder and the man is due to be tried on October 2.
