BOATING is increasingly popular in Andalucia with the 17 marinas belonging to the Andalucian Marina Marinas Association seeing earnings of €7 million.

Average occupation at these 17 private marinas reached 85 per cent during the summer months and according to the association, this popularity is thanks to the high quality of service and standards reached by its members which attracts increasing number of tourists.

Group members provide 60 per cent of all of the berths along the Andalucian coastline and the busier they are, the more work that is generated both directly and through support services.

Marinas which are members of the association comprise some of the best known in the Costa del Sol including Cabopino, Duquesa, Estepona, Fuengirola Marbella, Puerto Banus and Sotogrande.
