BENIDORM’S gastronomic season draws to a close next week with the sixth‘Jornadas de Arroces de la Tierra’ event taking place tomorrow Saturday October 21 through to next Sunday October 29.

The event is dedicated to the popular Valencian dish and 18 establishments throughout the city will participate, offering a special menu at only €20.

Arroz Valenciana is a dish similar to paella, usually served during holidays and special occasions.

Benidorm Mayor Toni Perez presented the event together with Abreca-Cobreca (Asociacion de Bares, restaurante y cafeterias de Benidorm) Manager Maria Amo and said it “highlights the importance of gastronomy within Benidorm’s tourist offering.”

He said that “there are people who come to Benidorm to actively participate in events of this type”. However, he explained that these types of gastronomic events “are programmed at quieter times to give them more value.”
