A SHIP renaming ceremony took place at Malaga port for the first time in its history.
The Legend of the Seas became the Tui Discovery 2 as it was purchased from Royal Caribbean International..
It was integrated into Thomson Cruises´ fleet after having made a total of 20 weekly round trips cross a series of Atlantic and Mediterranean routes, accommodating approximately 72,000 British tourists.
It is currently docked in the North Pier of the Levante Sea Station.
Thomson Cruises have enjoyed more activity than any other shipping company this year.
Four more vessels are scheduled to visit the port before the end of November including the Thomson Dream, Thomson Majesty, TUI Discovery and Thomson Celebrity.
The positive results this year have encouraged the company to station three ships at the port in 2018, with an aim of carrying 92,000 passengers.
