MORE than 30 drivers called the 112 emergency number to report a driver speeding along a major road… on the wrong side.

The kamikaze driver was spotted on the main RM-19 that links Murcia and San Javier as he passed through Torre Pacheco.

The traffic unit of the Guardia Civil stopped the driver as he left the Balsicas exit of the RM-19 where he was tested, as is normal in these cases, for alcohol and drugs.

At the time of going to press, it’s unknown what the results of the tests were, and also why the man was driving on the wrong side of the highway in the first place.

Guardia Civil said that even though this was a very dangerous incident, they were pleased to report that there were no injuries to individuals or damage to any other vehicles.
