A BRITISH woman has died after a boat accident on the river Rhone. According to reports, the 27-year-old was thrown overboard in the accident, with five other people, including another British person, also injured.

SUPERMARKETS in French regions of Brittany and Normandy are reportedly struggling to stock enough butter to cover customer demand due to a shortage in the dairy product. The shortage is being blamed on rising global demand for pastries such as croissants.
