MEMBERS of Javea’s Tri Llebeig athletics club congregated to pay homage to the three cyclists who were killed on the on the N-332 in May.

The group visited the graves of Luis Alberto Contreras (53-years old), Eduardo Monfort Gasent (28-years-old) and Jose Antonio Albi (28-years-old) and laid flowers.

The three surviving cyclists Jaime Escortell – who was unhurt, Andres Contreras (son of Luis) and Scott Gordon attended the tribute.

Contreras laid a Katusha water bottle at the grave of his father and said it was the water bottle his father used the most when he was cycling.
