MARBELLA has been chosen to host the Davis Cup tie next February.

The town’s Mayor, Angeles Muñoz, thanked everyone who helped the town be picked for the event which will see Spain face the UK from February 2 to 4 next year at the Hotel Puente Romano.

The Mayor explained, “this news fills us with satisfaction and joy because it confirms the power that Marbella has,” adding, “we present a great and very well planned candidacy.”

She went on, “we have a magnificent city and we have shown that we have enough experience to organise events on a scale of the Davis Cup.”

Muñoz, also thanked the confidence shown by the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation in the contest.
