BENISSA COUNCIL has organised a seminar for foreign residents at the Aula de la Mar (Tourist Info Benissa) on Wednesday November 29.

The seminar will cover the following:

  • The advantages and importance of registering on the Padron
  • The Spanish legal system and taxes
  • Brexit and its legal consequences for British residents in Spain

The council has received support from the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) as well as different experts from across the province, including President of Alicante’s Provincial School of Lawyers Pedro Heredia and Universidad Miguel Hernandez de Elche’s Professor of International Law Alfonso Ortega.

The seminar will be followed by a question and answer session where attendees can iron out any concerns and discuss their thoughts and feelings.

Councillors Rosa Galvez and Fernando Lopez Corsi will also be on hand to offer advice and support.

It is with this initiative that Benissa Council wants to take a step further in encouraging integration of foreign residents within the multi-national municipality.
