EVERY year, the Chairman of exclusive travel network Virtuoso hosts a meeting of the top 200 luxury travel agents from around the world.

Travel experts from around the world travelled to Marbella ready to immerse themselves in a week of discovery so that they can then sell the chosen destination to their high end clientele.

Accommodated in two of the top Marbella Hotels, Puente Romano and Marbella Club, the agents were escorted around the Costa del Sol with a choice of golfing activities, visits to Granada, Malaga and Ronda as well as local excursions to Puerto Banus and all that Marbella has to offer.

They also had the opportunity to eat at one of top chef Dani Garcia’s restaurants and a lucky few were able to attend a special gourmet cookery demonstration.

As a farewell and thanks to the 200 guests, many of whom represented the American luxury travel market, the Plaza in the Puente Romano was made over into a Virtuoso themed area with special flower decorations, muted lighting, fine food and gentle music.

It is hoped by all involved that this visit by some of the most influential travel agents in the world will see an influx of wealthy tourists in 2018.
