THE Rhythmic Gymnastics Club of La Nucia competed in the autonomous phase of the Campeonato de Espana de Conjuntos Absoluto 2017 in the Valencian town of Burjassot last Sunday, after qualifying at the provincial phase at La Nucia’s own Camilo Cano municipal sports centre the weekend before.

The children’s team (Emma Yusupova, Julieta Dobromirova, Maria Cerdan, Nuria Baeza and Tania Juez) came first in their category and will continue to the Spanish Championship in Valladolid, north-western Spain from November 28 – December 3.

The first team (Celia Cuevas, Daphne Romero, Marina Moreno, Marta Curtis and Patricia Riera) came third in their category and will also continue to the Spanish Championship.

Both teams were led by coache sIvka Ivanova and Sveti Mineva.

Also competing at the Spanish Championship will be La Nucian gymnast Maria Victoria Morillas. Morillas is on loan to the Club of Calpe whose first team finished runners-up in their category and qualified for a place in the final.
