THE ’10K Love Benidorm’ race will take place on Sunday November 26.

The event, organised by Benidorm City Council together with Grupo Brotons and the Club de Atletismo Benidorm, will take place from 9.30am, covering almost the entire city and the Levante beach promenade.

Presenting the race, Benidorm’s Councillor of Sports Arturo Cabrillo said it will be a “sustainable event”, included in the ministry’s ‘Corre, Recicla y Respira’(Run, Recycle, Breathe) campaign.

He continued to explain that over 20 recycling bins will be placed at the refreshment points, for people to dispose of their water bottles ecologically.

It is hoped that over 1,000 people will participate in the race, with 800 already signed up – “56 per cent foreigners from 11 countries” said Jose Brotons.

A children’s race ‘Kids Run Love Benidorm’ will be held from 12.30pm for children aged 2-15.

To sign up, visit 10klovebenidorm.com. Registration is open until Thursday November 23.
