Remembrance Day poem by Margaret Ellis

Remembrance Day poem

RTN reader Margaret Ellis from Albir has kindly sent us a poem for Remembrance Day.

Poppy

The Uniform (RAF)

I think of you! Wearing your suit of blue,
So proud, so debonair, so strong,
My heart would beat with so much pride,
If then,  I had you by my side.
But Alas! The years have come between,
The tears they flow, for what might have been,
But think of tomorrow, not of the past,
Just remember, a love, that will always last
