THE regional government of Murcia has announced a significant investment in a number of places in day care centres for people with disabilities.
In collaboration with the associations AIDEMAR and ASTRASPACE, 260 places are being funded at a cost of €2.8 million. This includes the extension of the agreement signed with ASTRASPACE for 134 places in their day centre in Murcia from December 1, 2017 to November 30, 2018 which amounts to just under €1.5 million.
As for financing AIDEMAR, a total of €1.4 million for a further 126 places over the same 12 month period has been agreed for the centre in San Pedro del Pinatar.
The latter association offers an extensive program of services in the municipalities of San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier, that begin with child development and early care for children up to six-years-old. The day centre is open for people over 18-years-old that need specialised and permanent support.
