A COLOURED coin with a face value of €30 is being issued to celebrate the 50th birthday of King Felipe VI on Tuesday January 30, 2018.
The National Currency Factory have announced that it will issue up to a maximum of one million pieces, although with the demand expected to be higher, there are already plans to increase this amount.
The coin, minted in 925 thousandths copper silver, will have a diameter of 33 millimetres, a weight of 18 grams, and will be issued during the first quarter of 2018.
On the obverse side of this collectors issue coin, there will appear the head of King Felipe VI with the phrase ‘Felipe VI Rey de España’ in capital letters accompanied by the year, 2018.
On the back of the coin, the colour shield of King Felipe will be reproduced and, on the left, a royal crown will appear with the number 50 and the number 18. Below will appear the value of the piece (€30) and in the lower part, also in capital letters, ’50 aniversario de S.M. El Rey’
The coins, which will be minted on behalf of the State, will be delivered to the Bank of Spain to make them available to the public.
