Age Concern know how to celebrate Christmas

LAUGHTER could be heard all around El Chaparral emanating from Bar Carmen.

Thirty four beneficiaries from Age Concern really got into the spirit for their Christmas Luncheon Club party.  They wined, dined and joined in singing carols with The Rascals, who were suitably dressed for the occasion, in bright red outfits and Santa hats. Completing the afternoon everyone happily headed home with a raffle prize.

There is a saying that, ’50 is the new 30’, and in this case it could be true, as all of these young at heart retirees chatted, laughed, chatted, joked, chatted, gossiped and chattered some more!  A truly fun filled afternoon.

Anyone over the age of 50 years old can become a member of Age Concern.  If you feel you need a new circle of friends and a social life, why not make a New Years resolution and pop into the Age Concern centre at Calle Paganini in La Siesta any morning, except Saturday or Sunday, and hear how your life here in Spain could be enhanced, and enjoy a nice cuppa amongst warm hearted people, just like you!
