WORK will begin on the Grand Casino de Orenes in Murcia during the next few weeks.
The project is due to take one year and the total cost is expected to be around €18 million.
Lorries and building equipment have already begun to appear at the site where the Orenes Group will construct to Gran Casino de Murcia in the northern part of the city. The company behind the project were given the green light earlier this week but decided to start the process of unloading materials and begin some initial digging before the official permission was given.
The building will comprise three floors and two basements in a total area of 11,600m2 and includes moving the current Casino based in the Hotel Rincon de Pepe.
The goal is for Murcia to unveil the new Casino at the end of next year as part a major new leisure space on Avenida Juan de Borbón that will rival both Estoril and Monte Carlo.
