EVERY THURSDAY the U3A Vall del Pop Explorers Mountain Walking Group set off on a walk to discover new vistas of the local landscape and to enjoy the wonderful autumn weather.

Last week, the group ventured out to Cavall Verde Benimaurell, covering 8 kilometres from Cavall Verde (Green Horse) in the Vall de Laguar with a total ascent of 380 metres, which members covered in just under five hours.

The village itself is 550 metres above sea level, so more than half of the climb was made by car.

Why not join Paul Leniston and his group on their weekly adventure, or join another exercise group, be it Keep Fit, Line Dancing, Ballroom Dancing or the Wednesday Walking Group.

For further information check out the U3A Vall del Pop website – http://u3avalldelpop.com. The U3A is all about enjoyment and learning and this is particularly evident in the U3A Vall del Pop group, whose members generally meet on the first Thursday of each month at the Polivalent Centre in Murla.
