LONG-AWAITED plans to provide access to Malaga Airport from the north will be put into action before next summer, according to local politicians.
After seven years of delays, the €40 million project is now due to start within the next six months.
But Spanish media reports suggest the government is yet to fully approve the work, since they are still studying the details.
Land has already been made available for the work and the ministry sent various plans. Speaking at a presentation of the project, the Popular Party’s local mayor, Joaquin Villanova, and representative Carolina Espana, said the work is due to be finalised soon, but similar promises have been broken before.
The work on the roads is also intended to ease congestion coming into the city.
