MAYOR of Marbella, Angeles Munoz, has announced a new installation of three webcams in different parts of the city.
The idea is to “show in real time the enviable climate of the city to the world, mainly to future visitors and potential tourists,” she said.
Munoz was accompanied by the municipal Technical Manager of Innovation, Jose Ayllon, and the company representative who has developed the webcams, Francisco Gutierrez.
The three cameras are located in the Marbella Golf course of Las Chapas, in Magna Marbella (with a view of Nueva Andalucia and the mountain area), and in Puente Romano.
The public can access the webcams through the web portal www.marbella.es.
Munoz emphasised that it is a tool “that can be used by any person and any service company in the city.”
Work is already underway to add other golf courses and hotels to the project, aimed at future clients.
Ayllon added that, “This project complies with the legislation on data protection and will allow us to compare ourselves with other world cities.”
