Marbella’s unemployment figures drop


MARBELLA closed 2017 with nearly 500 fewer unemployed people than 2016.

At the end of December last year, a total of 12,443 people were registered unemployed in comparison to 12,897 at the end of December 2016.

The most recent figures are the best since the crisis began – in 2009 there were 14,674 unemployed people in Marbella.

In percentage terms, the year-onyear difference stood at 1.1 per cent less – at the end of 2016 there was an unemployment rate of 20.29 per cent, compared to 19.19 per cent at the end of 2.017.
