AROUND 200 new jobs will be created after the extension to the Outlet Stores Commercial Centre in San Vicente del Raspeig is completed.
The expansion plans will see the current area increase its retail capacity by 40 per cent to 12,000m2 and it’s expected that the new facilities will be inaugurated in time for this summer.
After being closed for more than five years, work started on the renovation of the commercial premises last October, and an additional 19 new shops and stores will be built creating the extra employment opportunities.
The mayor of San Vicente del Raspeig, Jesus Villar, speaking to the Spanish media said: “News like this can only benefit the municipality, not only because of the improvements to the local economy, but attracting more people from the surrounding areas.
But most important of all are the extra jobs created.” Outlet Stores manager, Andres Enciso, explained that there are a number of new retail brands that have chosen San Vicent del Raspeig as their home.
These include Guess, Geox, Hunkemöller, Lamford and the American footwear firm Skechers.
