A MAN has been arrested by National Police agents in Fuengirola for allegedly stealing a dog from his neighbour.

According to an official statement from the police, the man jumped his neighbour’s fence and grabbed India, a hunting dog that was inside.

The animal, an adult Weimaraner valued at €2,000, has since been returned to its relieved owner.

The thief reportedly walked around casually in public with India and even took it into his office, claiming at all times that he was the owner.

India was found 17 days after going missing, inside a cage with two other Weimaraner dogs, on a farm to which the man had access.
