ALEXANDER GRINBERG the president of Marbella Football Club has been released on bail of €750,000 which was put up by members of his family.

He was actually arrested at the end of September as part of an ongoing investigation by the Guardia Civil into the activities of what is referred to as the Russian Mafia on the Costa del Sol which involved the arrest of 11 people.

Despite the negative connotations involved with their president being arrested it appears that the fans and staff of the football club are supporting him fully and have welcomed him back to assume his old role in the workings of the club.
